Faculty Leadership Position with Southern Illinois University
Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois is seeking a Chief for the Division of Medicine-Psychiatry. A 24 year alignment with our partner hospitals allows unique potential for faculty interested in academic and clinical Internal medicine-psychiatry. This solid relationship allows us to provide consistent, substantial academic time for teaching, scholarly pursuits, and patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to patient care, position will be actively involved in teaching programs including a combined Medicine-Psychiatry residency program, as well as categorical psychiatry and internal medicine residencies. The incumbent in this position will be expected to help the Department of Internal Medicine and the institution continue to develop integration programs with our primary care colleagues. Opportunities for clinical service, research and teaching activities exist.
Candidate must have demonstrated administrative and leadership skills and an academic record of funding and publications in peer-reviewed journals. This position will have a competitive compensation package.
